    ·         Spring Flowering Bulbs: Spring bulbs are usually winter hardy and need a frost and period of dormancy before they can bloom. The right time for planting these bulbs is in the late autumn before the first frost. They can be ordered until mid December. All the spring flowering bulbs needs to be planted some three to four weeks before the frond in the ground as they require the cold season to start their biological clock.     ·         Summer Flowering Bulbs: These kinds of bulbs are not winter hardy and generally fall into the category of tender bulbs that cannot flourish in areas experiencing frosts. The right time for planting bulkflower bulbs is in the late spring. They can be ordered until the early June. After planting them in the time of late spring season, these flowering bulbs require a couple of months to bloom. As they are not winter hardy, in cold climates, most of the summer flowering bulbs must be lifted and stored in order to use them in the next season. Some of the well-known summer flowering bulbs are: Lilies, Gladiolas, Dahlias, Begonias and Callas. Some professional tips for growing summer flowering bulbs are:
     
    o   For best results plant these bulbs after the last frost date in your area
    o   High quality bulbs and well drained soil must be used to have a successful summer garden
    o   Moist the soil in your garden on a continuous basis as summer bulbs need a great deal of water immediately after planting
    o   In order to bring out the real color of flowering bulbs, you need to maintain a pH level of six to seven
    o   These bulbs are best suited for patio containers and must be planted closer if you want a full look

    ·         Fall Flowering Bulbs: These bulbs require to be planted in the early summer and can be ordered until mid August. Most of the bulbs that are planted in the fall are the spring blooming types that include daffodils, tulips and hyacinths. However, the most popular bulbs among the fall blooming bulbs are colchicum, crocus and cyclamen. Some professional tips for growing fall flowering bulbs are:

    o   These bulbs should be planted promptly on receipt
    o   You should plant these bulbs at least six weeks before the ground freezes
    o   Remember to plant these bulbs with the pointy end up
    o   No fertilizer is necessary for the first year's bloom
